Sasha Rodriguez, MSW, LSW

I am a Bilingual Licensed Clinician who prides herself on providing mental health services to my community. My passion for eradicating the stigma of therapy in communities of color has driven my more holistic work of working with adolescents and their families, as well as adults. Cultural responsiveness is the key to my approach. I understand the nuances specific to various demographics and pride myself on being adaptive and flexible to meet the needs of my clients.

I am passionate about providing equitable opportunities for mental health and welcomes the gamut of backgrounds across genders, ethnic backgrounds, religion- children and adults alike. I understand the distinct challenges both adolescents and adults have, as well as the necessary treatment plans for working with both populations and their specific needs.

Currently, I offer psychotherapy in English and Spanish to teens and their parents addressing trauma and encouraging healthy communication in the home. I provide therapy in both individual and group settings and have a wealth of experience developing group curricula, facilitating various training, psychoeducational groups and parenting education.

Hi There, I am a licensed social worker with more than 14 years of experience in the mental health field. As a first generation South Asian therapist, I understand that cultural norms/values are diverse amongst the South Asian community and believe in the importance of integrating one’s cultural background/upbringing throughout sessions. My lived experience as a woman of color, and first generation immigrant shapes my worldview and how I approach therapy.

I have served and continue to serve a diverse population and enjoy working with individuals and couples of all ages. I work with adolescents and adults struggling on a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, unresolved issues, life-transition difficulties, family/relational problems, grief and loss, LGBTQ challenges, communication, and anger management. I am also helpful to families challenged by divorce or blending children from different households. While I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents, they comprise the majority of my clientele, I am well-rounded in treating all age groups. Through a multicultural, humanistic, and emotionally focused lens, I work with you to set and achieve your goals. Collaboration is important to me in the healing process and your input is valuable. Together, we will work hard and at your pace to explore past, present, and future challenges and cultivate the tools for your growth.
